About MCB Funds Logo

MCB Funds, formally known as MCB Investment Management Limited, was originally incorporated on August 30, 2000, under the name Arif Habib Investment Management Limited (AHIML). The company launched two of its flagship funds in March 2002: the MCB Pakistan Stock Market Fund and the Pakistan Income Fund, marking the beginning of its long journey in the asset management industry.

History of MCB Funds

The company went through several important transformations over the years. In 2008, it was listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange. Through a transfer agreement signed in January 2011, MCB Bank Limited took on a majority stake, eventually merging the company with MCB Asset Management Company to form MCB-Arif Habib Savings and Investments Limited in 2013. MCB Bank continued to consolidate its ownership and, following further share acquisitions, the company rebranded under its current identity as MCB Funds in 2023. MCB Funds has earned several industry firsts, including introducing Pakistan’s first Money Market Fund with a triple-A stability rating, and establishing the first open-end Shariah-compliant fund that received permission from the State Bank of Pakistan to invest in overseas markets.

MCB Funds manages more than 26 open-end mutual fund schemes, five voluntary pension schemes, and more than 50 discretionary and non-discretionary investment portfolios. Its product range covers equity funds, balanced funds, fixed income funds, money market funds, asset allocation funds, and Islamic equivalents across all these categories.
